Statement

My sculptures are crafted from pulp using age-old papermaking processes. Each new sheet pulled from the vat transforms from a dripping web of fiber to a tactile object. Using handmade paper as a fine art medium combines the alchemy of craft and my years of working as an art director in the commercial print-on-paper world, and allows me the freedom to create work that explores paper beyond the 2-dimensional page.
